Beautiful genuine antique Victorian earthenware tile dating from the late 19th Century (circa 1880s–1890s), featuring a striking monochrome transfer-printed design in sepia/brown.
Design Details: This tile is a classic example of the Aesthetic Movement / Arts & Crafts period. The pattern features stylized passionflowers, delicate winding tendrils, and leaves layered over a clean geometric trellis border.
Pattern Identification: This exact pattern is officially recorded in the Transferware Collectors Club (TCC) database as "Trellis Aesthetic Floral" (Pattern #18812).
Manufacturer: Unmarked / Unknown (as recorded in the TCC archives).
Dimensions: Approximately 6 inches x 6 inches (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm).
Condition: Good antique condition consistent with age. Please view all photos carefully to assess the exact cosmetic state. Front glaze retains a lovely gloss with typical minor surface wear/fine crazing. Edges and corners show minor flea bites/nibbles as is standard for reclaimed Victorian architectural tile. The reverse is clean/free of heavy mortar, ready for display or framing.
