A beautiful and rare collection of four genuine antique Victorian-era sewing and leather working tools, likely once part of a lady's essential etui (sewing kit) or chatelaine. These pieces showcase period craftsmanship and are wonderful for display, collecting, or even gentle use by a historical crafter. This unique set includes: Mother-of-Pearl Awl / Stiletto: A delicate needlework tool with a pointed steel shaft and a finely carved mother-of-pearl handle. Used for piercing holes in fabric (Broderie Anglaise) or light leatherwork. Bone Glove Stretchers: A two-pronged, spring-hinged tool crafted from polished bovine bone or an early celluloid (French ivory). This accessory helped ease and reshape tight-fitting Victorian and Edwardian gloves after washing. Ebonized Wood Pricking Wheel: A functional tool featuring a dark ebonized handle and a metal serrated wheel used to mark patterns or stitching lines onto materials, essential for precise work. Wooden Handled Pricking Iron: A multi-pronged (four-tined) tool used for marking evenly spaced stitching points on leather. Condition: Items are in good antique condition, commensurate with age and use, retaining their original patina and functionality. Please inspect photos for details.
