A rare and historically significant antique tea bowl and saucer by Miles Mason, dating from circa 1805–1815 — a pivotal period in English ceramic history. Miles Mason developed this pattern specifically to emulate the hugely popular Chinese export porcelain that had flooded the British market, after the importation of original Chinese wares ceased in the early 19th century. The result was a distinctly English interpretation of Oriental design that is now highly collectible in its own right.

The pattern features a classic under-glaze blue transfer-printed landscape depicting traditional Oriental scenes — pagodas, bridges, and willow trees — in the style that would later inspire the ubiquitous Willow Pattern. Both the tea bowl and saucer are finished with a delicate gilt trim, adding an elegant refinement to the blue and white design.

Marked to the base with the Miles Mason impressed or printed mark, confirming authenticity. In good antique condition consistent with age — please refer to photos for full detail.
