Beautiful Antique Arts & Crafts Hand-Hammered Copper Plate / Tray by Hugh Wallis (c. 1900–1910)
This authentic British Arts and Crafts movement charger features the distinctive artisan work of renowned metalworker Hugh Wallis (1871–1943). Crafted in his Altrincham workshop, the piece displays a beautiful planished (hand-beaten) copper finish and a highly stylized pewter inlay floral/foliage motif in the center. The outer rim features a subtly detailed decorative stamped border.
Condition:
Excellent vintage/antique condition with a rich, natural warm patina. There is light surface scratching consistent with age and gentle handling, but no deep gouges, major dents, or structural distortion. The pewter inlay remains crisp and securely intact.
