A vintage silvered solid brass service presentation statue of a lifeboat man dressed in foul weather gear, holding behind him a lifebuoy inscribed G.D MacDougald (the sculptor) and dated 1934. It is quite heavy for its size, weighing over half a kilo and would be ideal as a paperweight.
The figure stands upon a plinth which is inscribed:
"PRESENTED TO MRS SARAH EDITH WILLIAMS FOR WORK FOR THE LIFE-BOAT SERVICE 1955"
