Antique William IV Ribbed Glass Water Jug, c.1830 - Hand-Blown Georgian Era
A superb antique hand-blown glass water jug dating to circa 1830, from the William IV period — a fine and increasingly rare example of early 19th-century English glassware. An exceptional piece for collectors of Georgian and Regency glass.
The Piece
This elegant jug features full rib moulding running the entire length of the body, gathering beautifully at a polished pontil base. The swan neck form is characteristic of the William IV period, and the applied handle has an unusually well-tooled lower terminal — a mark of skilled craftsmanship.
