Genuine matching breakfast service duo manufactured by Mayer & Sherratt at their Clifton Works in Staffordshire, England. Both pieces feature the official green stamped "Melba China / Made in England" maker's mark on the base, dating this set precisely to the 1920s or 1930s.
The set is decorated in a rich, traditional Imari aesthetic boasting hand-painted iron-orange blossoms, striking cobalt blue panels, delicate green foliage, and brilliant gold filigree highlighting the scalloped borders and elegant handles. Condition: Excellent vintage/antique condition for porcelain nearing a century old. There are no structural cracks, chips, or spider crazing. The glaze remains bright and reflective. Expected minor shelf-wear on the unglazed base rims and very light, normal rubbing to the gilt edges as pictured.
