This exquisite, heavy quality, antique Japanese plate features an intricate hand-painted scene of three immortals against a rich landscape backdrop, adorned with lavish gold detailing. The craftsmanship is typical of late-Meiji period Satsuma/Kutani-style ware, with finely detailed facial expressions, patterned robes, and raised enamel work. Rare design.
The bowl displays a traditional red hand-painted Japanese mark on the base which dates it to the late 19th to early 20th century.
